I have no clue about Blogging, this will be my first attempt!
I am a 31 year old homemaker and Mom of two boys 4 & 17 months. I married my high school sweetheart in 2002. I live in Middle River, MD, near the water. I have a dog, three cats, two rabbits and a couple of fish.
I also have Bipolar disorder. Sometimes my life is just a series of manic highs and lows. After 31 years I am finally starting to gain some control over my condition. This is where the advantage to you comes in! When something gets in my head that I want to do, I research obsessively, basically inducing a manic high, until I figure out all I need to know about that subject. Now, after my obsessive research, I can come share whatever it is on my blog and other people can benefit from my research. Win-Win!
I’m loud, obnoxious and I talk too much. I am very opinionated and I share that opinion with everybody whether they like it or not. My blog posts will probably all be long because I am long winded and I have alot to say.
I love nature and have studied herbalism, mostly aromatherapy for about 15 years. I can name most plants, in gardens and in the wild, and can usually tell you what they were used for. I’m also the kind of person who thinks of dandelions as flowers.
I love camping and canoeing because of the wildlife, notice the nature theme here? Just started to really garden this year. I’m planning a veg garden in my backyard and blueberry bushes in the front should be going in in the spring.
My goal for the last few months has been to try to learn all of the homemaking arts. It is my job after all. I figure if other professionals require continuing ed, why shouldn’t I give it a shot? I haven’t yet figured them all out, really i’m not even sure exactly what they are yet, but this blog will chronical my journey.
One of my biggest challenges is baking for Garrett, my youngest son who has a severe dairy & soy sensitivity known as MSPI. He cannot have even a single molecule of dairy or soy in anything he eats otherwise he just screams. poor kid can’t have what most of us take for granted. It really hurts having to tell him that he cannot have the same things we are eating. he’s only 17 months, so he does not understand. So, I will be outlining MSPI friendly as well as other recipes here. I will also be putting up any and all things related to homemaking.
Hope you enjoy and please leave feedback so I can improve my blog.
